1. Our Service
StoryMe creates personalised children's storybooks. You provide details about your child — such as their name, age and a chosen story theme — and we use artificial intelligence to write a unique story, generate accompanying illustrations and, where selected, an animated version. Depending on the package you choose, your story may be delivered digitally, as an animated story, or as a printed hardback book.
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to these terms.
2. Ordering & Payment
When you place an order, you select a package and complete payment securely through our payment provider, Stripe. All prices are shown at checkout and are payable in advance. We do not store your full card details — these are handled directly by Stripe.
An order is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed. You will receive a confirmation email shortly after payment.
3. Delivery Time
Once your payment is confirmed, your personalised animated story is typically ready within 15–20 minutes. You will receive a link by email to access your story as soon as it is complete. Printed hardback books, where ordered, are produced and shipped separately and will take longer to arrive; estimated print and delivery times are shown at checkout.
4. Refund Policy
Because our stories are personalised and created specifically for you, the following refund terms apply:
- No refunds once delivered. Once your personalised story has been generated and delivered to you, it cannot be refunded, as it is a bespoke digital product made to your specifications.
- Technical issues. If you experience a technical problem with your story (for example, it fails to generate correctly), we will regenerate it for you at no additional cost.
- Unresolvable issues. If we are unable to resolve a technical problem with your order, you may request a full refund, which will be processed within 5–7 days.
5. Intellectual Property
The story text, illustrations and animations we create for your order are licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial use — to read, enjoy, print and share with family and friends. You may not resell, redistribute commercially, or claim authorship of the generated content.
The StoryMe name, logo, website design and underlying technology remain the property of StoryMe and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
6. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including your child's name, age and story details. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, offensive, infringing, or that you do not have the right to provide. You confirm that you have the authority to provide any personal details about a child included in your order.
7. Limitation of Liability
Our services are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryMe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of our services. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
8. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England & Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
